Hello
I have the last update installed (8.8.0r6) on my silverfast 8, and have been scanning colour film for long with great success.
Still, i have tried to scan 35mm tri x film, setting it at "16-->8 bit", and trying different types of options on the Negafix, and I always get the same result: the file (which i export as TIFF, 300 ppp) looks "computerized", it's a mix of the photo i took (20% of the image) and the rest are like lines, large monochromic stains, all perpendicular, where you can see the scanning or export process has not been able to be completed.
Is there anything i can do ?
Thank you
Aurelien

Re: Can't scan B&W 35mm film / silverfast 8 / coolscan 5
Dear Aurelien,
Please check if you have iSRD activated. If yes please deactivate it.
The scanner's infrared scratch and dust removal unfortunately can not be used with B&W film.
The silver halide emulsion blocks the infrared beam.
You can use the software sided SRDx instead.
Kind regards,
Arne
