Dear Sir/ Madam, Could anyone have a look at these two scans let me know what they think the marks are and how I might clean them further before scanning?
Does anyone have any idea if they are breaking down because of age, is it mould or scratches?
I am scanning slides from 1963, they have not been stored correctly or looked after. I am currently using PEC 12 from Photosol.com to clean them but not everything is coming off.
Scan no 1 (dirt) is without cleaning and scan no 2 (dirt 2)is cleaned with PEC 12.
Any help would be great
Thanking you
Gary Ritson

Hi there,
It looks more like some sort of mould growing into the film emulsion. Have you tried any sort of infrared correction?
