I have the Reflecta Proscan 4000 and try to scan efficiently my old negatives. The negative stripes are partly quite bad:
- white stripes from light which came partly into the camera
- black bars to the left or right, because sometimes not the whole picture was exposured
If I use the automatic function in batch scan this leads to unsatisfying results (too light or too dark when this white or black stripes or bars appear).
Any good tipps?
Thanks
Hubertus

Dear Mr Graef
how the automatic image adjustment works can be configured by yourself in the SilverFast > "Options" on the > "Auto" tab.
More information is to be found in our documentation:
Ch5.01 Image Auto-Adjust (PDF, 2.6 megs)
and
Ch3 Presets (PDF, 2.2 megs).
Best regards
