Folks
I am using JobManager to batch process scanned files in Silverfast HDR Studio (8.0.1.r54 - Mac OS X 10.10)
How can I save the processed files with the same file name as the originals?
Perhaps I'm missing something here - so forgive me if I have
Best regards
Brian

Dear Brian,
The JobManager will use the data entered in the "Image Dimensions" dialog when you directly click the "process" button without making any changes to the "Save As" dialog.
We are planning to improve this in a future update.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Batch Process - Save file with same name...
Good evening,
I observe that with SF HDR 8.2 saving the processed files with their original name is indeed possible, provided the index function is not activated. Access to this flag is given in the GUI that appears prior the job actually starts.
However, why is SF8 accepting 16 original names and transfers them to the processed files, and the next files get the generic name Image 0.tif, Image 0(1).tif and so on. I loaded some 20+ files into the Job Manager, transferred settings chosen to ONE file to all other files (thank you ! this now works) but bingo ! naming does not work as expected.
PS: Load files into JM done via drag from the VLT.
Any hint ?
Kind regards, Philippe Lerch

Images are renamed during Batch Process in Job Manager
May I ask when we a re likely to see this feature implemented?
Currently - the Batch process is of no value to me!
Files I scan need to have specific names - i.e. a scanned print may have suffix of 'a' to indicate the image side of a print - while a suffix of b will indicate the rear of the print. e.g. Image-001a and Image 001b
At the moment all of this gets completely over-written when batch scanning.
Please please alter this
I don't know of any other Batch Process that forces a re-name on the output files

Dear Brian,
If you do not make any changes to the batch dialog it should use the original names instead of auto numbering them.
It will use the names and path from the Image/Scan Dimensions dialog.
A different naming method is currently not available.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
