Autosize on Frame tab problem

I am a new user of Siverfast software and have a question that maybe someone can answer.

On the Frame tab whenever I want to scan at 4000dpi the output size automatically limits the output size.

Why does it do this and can I override it?

I am using Silverfast Ai 5, Adobe Photoshop 6.0 with a Microtek ArtixScan 4000tf.

Does this happen at 4000 dpi only ?
You possibly have descreening on.
