I have no problem scanning my 35mm B&W negs, 120film negs, or 4x5 negss and getting razor sharp images coming out the back end, but when I scan 35mm color slides, I'm just not getting a sharp product. I'm looking at them through a loupe and the detail is there, but when scanned, it's just not coming through. I've tried scanning at varying dpis and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any advice?
Thanks for your help.

Gabej,
If you haven't already, try turning them over to see if that yields better results. If that doesn't make a difference it could be your film holder is not keeping the film in the scanner's sweet spot.
What scanner are you using?
