Re: Support for the HP C7180 All in One?
Dear edgarcn,
SilverFast is created to work with a specific scanner model, it means every version of SilverFast will search the device for which it was designed. If you connect another device, two things might happen. SilverFast might no find the scanner right scanner and will ask you connect the desired device. SilverFast might find the other scanner model but will not be 100 % compatible, the serial number will not work with that device (SilverFast will work in demo mode) and the application will work erratically.
Unfortunately the All in One device in question is not supported at this time.
We appreciate your understanding and interest in our products
Best regards

Thank you.
I noticed you focus on professional & dedicated scanners. I think that with more and more end users multifunctional printers/scanners in the market, it would be a smart move to embrace this kind of advanced-amateurs business.
Any plans?

Dear edgarcn,
You might be right about your predictions, as a matter of fact we implement and support more and more scanners on a regular basis. We have some All in One machines in our catalogue of supported scanners. However at this time we do not have any plugin available for your model and is not included in near future plans.
You might check at the beginning of the next year, by the time we might have included some more scanners.
Thanks for your interest
