HP G4050 scanner and Windows 10, any alternatives?

I use an HP G4050 with SilverFast 6 (latest version) with great success on my Windows 7 computer. However, that computer is now very long-in-the-tooth and will be replaced soon. The planned OS is Windows 10, however, it seems that my SilverFast install and the HP scanner are not compatible. Has anyone successfully gotten this scanner to work with Version 6 (the only one supporting my scanner) on Windows 10? Please advise if so.

In the alternative I could look for a new supported scanner, but the G4050 is my go-to as it has the lid lightbox, and the adapter which allows me to scan for contact prints five negative strips at a time. All other scanners I have found only do one strip of negatives at a time for contact prints, if anyone out there knows of a current scanner offering such a large lid lightbox for scanning contact prints and negatives I am open to consideration.
