I've been trying to use the negative adapter on the 8200. The preview comes up looking pretty good, at least good enough that I feel confident that I could adjust it the rest of the way post-scanning. The problem is that when the actual scan is done, the photo is way blown-out, everything but the darkest tones are white or nearly white. I've tried it with the Auto box checked and unchecked with no difference. I don't understand why it's not looking like the preview.
I switched to scanning it in HP PrecisionScan Pro, and it worked just fine. But I hate using that program. Any ideas?
