Is there a chance this error could be software related, maybe a bad preference or something? The issue: during prescan, the scanner hangs at the CHECK LUMENS screen then gives an F702 error. I've replaced the transparency bulb to no effect. I get the same error on a reflective prescan. I scanned a neg on the same drum 3 hours earlier without any problem. Thanks for any advice.
Some followup information: Same situation with the prescan, but if I set the resolution to 72 ppi and hit Scan, everything works as expected, saving a file to the HD. But of course, without a preview I can't properly select the film area or apply the negafix profile. I trashed SF prefs to no effect
