word "lasersoft" embedded across my scans

I sent a fax and and email about this on this 2 weeks ago after receiving 5.5, but no response.

Why is word "lasersoft" embedded in my scans? How do I get rid of this?

The same situation happened to me. I had SF5.5 up and running for a few weeks, yesterday when I went to open SF 5.5 I was asked to reregister and the serial # wound'nt take. I went in under demo and silverfast is written across my scans in several places.I sent a post to tech support and am waiting for an answer. LEN

I purchased SilverFast online yesterday. The demo looks great! But I cannot enter my registration (Serialisation?) number. I click the "i" button as directed, and the flash screen comes up fine. I click on the "credits" button and can see that the program is still in "demo" mode, but when I try to enter the serial number the screen disappears and will not let me enter the number.

I am using a Mac cube, System 9.2,and PhotoShop 6.

This must be a really screwed up organization - I mean to have to put one's password in to reply to a post - pleeeze - anyhow - here is the response I got which fixed the problem:

I suppose you installed the version of SilverFast Ai which you got from us on CD and it prints a watermark over your image ? Does the program still ask for a serial number when you start it ? If not, please go to your Photoshop-plugin folder, inside import-export/silverfast will be a folder ?prefs?. Please delete this folder, put your SilverFast-CD in the drive and Start SIlverFast via Photoshop?s import menu. Now it should ask for the serial and, once accepted won?t ask again and you also will not have the watermark on your scans.
