SliverFast 6.2.0r4 iSE and Adobe Acrobat 6 pro

Postby yi_hsun » Fri Feb 27, 2004 6:22 pm

Hi, I just bought this SliverFast 6.2.0r4 iSE last week for my firewire scanner UMAX 6400 on windows xp pro PC. I installed both PS plug-in and Twain version for different purposes. After a few trial and some scans, it really turned out great!, it's fast, elegant, and stable, I really love it.

Later these days I was trying to scan some document into pdf format using Adobe Acrobat 6 pro's 'Acquire from scanner' function on 'SliverFast UMAX-SE (32bit)'. However after the inital SliverFast splash logo, Acrobat showed an error immediately saying 'Unknow error'. Well, I've tried the twain driver on other application and it works fine so I couldn't figure out what might be the problem. Is it just the incompatibility issue Acrobat has or I've missed out something??

I tried a few uninstall/reinstall work on the Acorbat 6 and both of the drivers for SliverFast in different combinations. It turned out the same.

Comments or suggestions ??

Thanks.

Dear yi_hsun

thank you for your interest in our SilverFast Software.
As I have learned from user SilverFast 6 seemingly worked well with Acrobat 4 and 5, but with Acrobat 6 it is a no-go situation.

According to those users' information I guess the problem lies with Adobe software...
Input shall be appreciated at LaserSoft, too. TIA :)

Thanks for replying. Looks like I can only hope that Acrobat 6 would come up a patch or something later. SF is a great software!
