I have silverfast 6 ai w/epson 3200 scanner w/ win me box & 1.5 gig mem,an athlon 2000 cpu. I scanned in a 6x7 trans at 3200 dpi and after it scanned, silverfast started a rotation of the file into ps7. It took 20+ mins to rotate. It was late and as my eyes crossed, I could not find where to turn off the rotation image feature. ps 7 will do this feature in 2 min or less. Why the problem in time with silverfast & how to turn this off?

Has this problem been solved yet? I am trying the SF 6 demo version for Howtek 4500, which I downloaded yesterday. I have scanned 6x8 and 4x5 transparencies at 4000 ppi, 48-bit, and they also rotate after the scan is complete. I cannot find a way to stop the rotation. The 4x5 has taken ONE HOUR to rotate, preventing further scanning during this time. Of course, this is entirely unacceptable. If there is not a solution, I cannot consider using Silverfast software. Please advise.

Every image rotates on scanning- Why?
I am doing 48-bit HDR 4000 DPI batch scans using the Nikon S200 autofeed with the coolscan LS4000. My system has 512MB memory and a 2.6 GH Pentium 4.
Why does every image rotate? It adds 30 seconds to the time to scan each slide. This lowers the production of the scanner by about 25%. Since I have over ten thousand slides to scan it will take two weeks longer to complete this project.
Is rotation necessary? How can this be turned off? Time is of the essence as this is only the first of several large projects.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. If you need any further information please advise.

That did it
Thanks,
Questions relating to calibration.
I have both Ektachrome and Kodachrome reference targets. Most of the slides I am scanning are Kodachrome but there are some Ektachrome mixed in.
1. Can I select a previously run calibration to use for each film type or do I have to recalibrate with the target to switch between Kodachrome and Ektachrome transparencies?
2. Will a single calibration, Kodachrome or Ektachrome, give acceptable results for both film types?
