Problems Using SE with Fireworks MX and OSX

Postby cruiserparts » Tue Jul 08, 2003 2:02 am

Hello,

Here is my issue. I could not seem to find any help by searching this forum.

I installed SE into Adobe Elements 2.0 and my Epson 3200 works great. However I would like to avoid using Elements or Photoshop and go directly to Fireworks MX (my program of choice for interfacing with Flash MX).

I tried to tell Fireworks MX where the SE plugin was. I pointed it to the Folder where it was installed. I also inserted the Silverfast CD and pointed it to that just to be sure. After restarting it doesn't appear that Fireworks has recognized the plugin or the scanner. The Fireworks documentation seems to indicate that it can directly use Photoshop Plugins but it's not.

Any idea how to make this work. I would like to crank up Silverfast using the Plugin from Fireworks just like when I use Adobe Elements/Photoshop.

Thanks,
jon

SilverFast is NOT a Plug-in module for Fireworks MX, it is a plug-in module for Adobe Photoshop!

Yes, apparently Fireworks can use/share Photoshop Plugins, but I guess in this case it can't. Is there a way to set up, configure, or install Silverfast so that Fireworks MX recognizes it?

I think the best solution is our "SilverFast Launcher"

Donwload Link:

This is the right tool to use SilverFast with Macromedia Software.
