Photoshop 7 import forcing me to save scan...

I have recently updated my Silverfast 6 (SFE-6.1.0r4(Expr1680)) on my mac. When I try to use the scanner via Photoshop's File/Import/Silverfast, I can't seem to scan directly to Photoshop, it asks me to name and save the scan as a TiFF. Silverfast remains open after the scan, and when I close it, I must manually find and open the file in Photoshop.

What is going on? Is there some option that I have set incorrectly? I don't want to save every scan I make, I just want Silverfast to open the new image file in Photoshop.

This was not an issue for me before I updated.

Please check, what scanmodus you are using. There is "Normal", which is scanning to Photoshop, "Normal (File)" Saving the file directly after scan, and the same with "Batch" / "Batch (File)". There is also an Option "Reopen after Scan".You need to uncheck this, if you don't like it.
