HDR crashes Photoshop 7.01 Windows

Postby michaelmueller » Fri Jan 16, 2004 11:43 am

Photoshop has a problem with HDR 6.1.0r8 as a plug in, which I just downloaded. PS is quitting as soon as I try to open it. AI and Nikon Scan 4.0 works fine.
I would like to send you the protocol file from PS, but I don't know where PS dump them on the drive.
I spend already half of the day to get it running:
2 Gigabyte RAM
I updatet PS to v. 7.01
Windows 2000 SP 4

Dear Michael

the issue actually is not with Photoshop 7.0.1 but with Nikon Scan v. 4.
Please download the 6.2 update when it will be available (pretty soon).

I just received AI 6 for the Nikon 5000. And I have to get the system running.
I deinstalled Nikon Scan, I installed a older Version of HDR (61r16), but I still get an error when I start HDR. The old HDR without the virtuell light table should work. Something on my system is bend.
What do do?

When I install the new Version 6.2 in the Silverfast directory, HDR runs.
But I need HDR as a Photoshop plug-in.

Dear michaelmueller

Nikon Scan 4 seems pretty tenacious, if one tries to completely remove it from the system. However, some users had success with this procedure:

(1) download a 6.2 version of SilverFast
(2) deinstall older SilverFast, deinstall Nikon Scan 4
(3) reboot
(4) install SilverFast 6.2
(5) reboot
(6) install Nikon Scan

Good luck!
