If you are using PhotoShop as your imaging application or if you are using an application that can handle PhotoShop plugins, then download the demo for PhotoShop. If you are not sure, download the Twain demo.
Both types of plugins are almost identical. Twain will not allow you scanning into LAB-format and some host applications will not allow scanning into CMYK or 16-bit. The biggest difference however, is the missing of reliable color presentation on the screen. If you use the PhotoShop plugin, you can compare SilverFast?s prescan with the final image in PhotoShop and you will see exactly the same colors. This is because SilverFast and PhotoShop are using the same color matching engine. This might not be the case with Twain applications.
