OK, I just recently purchased a Dimage 5400 Elite II and the most recent version of SilverFast AI, and am fairly satisfied with its use, stand alone, with my duo-core Intel Mac with OS 10.4.10 and Photoshop CS3.
Now Apple is coming out with Leopard. (What will that be...OS 10.5xx?)
Have the folks at LaserSoft been working on Leopard platform compatible Silverfast? Or better, how long will it be until they come out with that. I really don't dare switch my OS until I can be reasonably assured my scanner and software will work with the new system!!
Thanks.
And here comes Leopard for Macs

Here come Leopard
I have installed Leopard yesterday, could not resist the temptation.
I am using SiverfastPlus Vers. 6.5, The Universal Launcher crashes on start-up. Leopard is great, but if you need to use Silferfast stay away until positive reports come out or someone posts a work around.

Here Comes Leopard
I've just installed Leopard and came across the same problem. But I thought I'd see if I could scan through Photoshop (File>Import>Silverfast) and it all worked fine. So, although I usually use the universal launcher, I'm very pleased that there seems to be a way around this. Thought it might be of use to anyone else interested. :D
Leopard compatibility
I too am awaiting information from Silverfast about Leopard compatibility. I'm using v6.5.5r1 of SF AI to run my Epson flatbed in Mac OS 10.4.10 on an Intel Mac (and I'm very happy about the improvements in this newest driver version). I would like to find out if the present driver will be compatible with Leopard, or if not, whether an update, or if necessary, an upgrade, will be in the works at LaserSoft. Adobe has announced that many Adobe apps in CS3, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign are already compatible. Very good news.

Leopard
I have installed Leopard on MacBook Pro.
It works, but when you click Quit after scanning, the Universal application does not quit. When you double-click on the scan file to open in Photoshop, nothing happens. When you try File/Open in Photoshop, the Photoshop toolbar at the left side of the screen remains, but the top menu says Finder, and there is no way to get Photoshop working again except to Force Quit both Silverfast and Photoshop.
Annoying, but not insurmountable.

Leopard compatibility
I'm going to wait awhile on Leopard til the kinks are mostly ironed out but meanwhile I'm tracking compatibility for programs and drivers to avoid nasty surprises when I do upgrade the OS.
