Where IS Negafix?!

Hello,

I just received and installed AI version 6. My main reason for buying it is to scan slide transparencies. But where is Negafix? I see no mention of it on the CD or in the AI program. Is it another program you have to buy or download, or is it integrated into AI?

If the latter, how do you get it to actually recognise slides? My Epson Twain, that came with my Perfection 2450, recognises them automatically. I can't get AI to do that yet.

Negafix is (as the name says) for scanning negative print film. It is not for scanning slides.

Thakn you for the clarification. It's good to know I am not missing anything important.

It leads to a related question. How do I get AI to recognise and scan my slides correctly? The supplied software (Epson Smart Panel with Twain 5) is able to do this automatically. How does one do this with AI?

SilverFast doesn?t find slides automatically. You have to drag the frames manually. You can also define more than one frame.
