So few Fuji film types?

Postby dcnicholls » Fri Apr 06, 2007 5:32 am

Needless to say, I have many negatives on older film types, For example one film which is marked "Fuji HG200". This equates (according to various sources) to Fuji Super HG 200. No such profile in Silverfast Ai IT8 v6.5. Only 1600 ISO. The resulting image is garish without tweaking so I doubt the conversion is accurate.

This makes Negfix rather less than useful.

Is there a source of profiles I can download and import? Or am I missing the point on how Silverfast works?

Dear dcnicholls,

as long as there have not been generated a Negafix profile by LSI for this film type, you may try to setup a profile for yourself in the Negafix dialog's "Curves" panel. To do so
- start with an existing profile that is not too far off
- edit the curve and look at the resulting appearance in the preview
- save the curve under a new name

Best regards
Martin
