I will be scanning primarily black and white 4x5's, 616, etc from 1940-1970. This film simply says Kodak Safety Film on the sides. Any recommendations on how to accomidate it? Whate "type" is it?
Thanks, Nick

Dear nickseman,
safety film was introduce in the 1930's with a cellulose actetate base, with one major advantage to the older nitrate base. It is not as fire hazard, which is why it was called safety film.
Try experimenting with Negafix in Expert mode since their may have been used different emulsions over the this long period of time.
Best,
Jan
