Overview images great -> scanned images poor

Postby stevechr » Mon Jun 07, 2004 8:58 pm

Hi folks,
I have encountered a problem with NegaFix whenever scanning AGFA Portrait 160 negatives on my Minolta Scan Elite 5400. When I use the overview function in order to get little thumbnails of all the images that are in the negative holder, the color and the contrast seems fine and looks really good, just like it is supposed to. But as soon as I prescan the image in Silverfast, the bigger sized picture has a reddish cast all over the image and contrast is really low. Resetted all the settings of possible color corrections and things like that, even set the whole thing to factory default, but no success... why do the thumbnails look good, but the scan or the prescan not? Am I missing something? Has anyone encountered a similar problem and found a solution? I hope you guys can help me! Thank you very much in advance,

bye Steve!

Dear Steve

please download and install the latest update for your version of SilverFast from our website.
You might experience that this already does solve your problem.

If you need to update a SilverFast Ai version, please do register with us at our website (cf. Support -> Registration):
https://www.silverfast.com/reg/en.html
After registering you will swiftly receive an automatically generated e-mail with the access data you will need for downloading the update.

However, if the problem persists, please don't hesitate to contact LaserSoft Imaging support staff: https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would appreciate if you could paste a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile in the problem report.
Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
