When using the Negafix profile for Kodak Portra 400NC 6x6, the image is over-exposed by 2.5 to 3 f-stops. The color is accurate with no color casts but I must set the exposure to -2.5 to 3 f-stops to begin to correct the problem. Next I must use Gradation Curves to finally bring the image down to the proper exposure.
All of my negatives are exposure analyzed for density and are in the normal to upper normal range 60-72. My SF6 is set to the proper settings as discribed in the totorals and I am at a loss to explain the problem. Will small amounts of exposure change differ that much?
I have read other posts with simalar problems and have been told to adjust the auto-tolerance slider in the advanced mode. I thought this only controled the removal of the orange cast in the nagative.
Any help would be appreciated.
