I am very happy with the profiles I have built with the expert mode of NegaFix. (FujiPress 400 and Fuji NPC 160) Working with the curves and the auto tolerance for the orange mask has done a good job.
I have, though, I couple of questions about the setting of a neutral color by dragging the point down the HSL color space.
First of all, the point does not want to stay where I put it. I drag it down to the gray area and it jumps, usually, to the right into the yellow area, giving the gray card in the test neg, and everything else, a yellow color cast.
Then, if I am able to get the point to stay at the bottom in the neutral area, I don't get a neutral color, to my eye or measured with the densitometer. I have given up using this feature and I just work with the individual curves until I get good color, contrast and finally, a neutral gray when measuring the gray card in the test negative with the densitometer.
Am I going about this wrong, or is there some kind of "bug" in this version. Or, is it a feature I use only if I can't get what I want from the curves alone? (I am using 6.0.1r11 for the Nikon LS-2000)
Thanks
