I didn't see any profiles for Kodak Gold 800 in the recent list of profiles. Currently I'm finding that negatives from a Gold 800 film shot about 2 years ago are unscanable.
Generally the green channel is missing from the scanned image. Fiddling around with film position may result in a full color complement but it takes about 2 minutes to get a prescan and then the image is really dark. This happens on all negatives, not just those at the end of the strips.
