Kodak Gold 200-6 troubles

Hello, I must be missing something and was wondering if someone can provide Some pointers?

I am using negative for Kodak Gold 200-6 negatives. The scans are really poor (beyond even trying to manually correct). I have been scanning slides without much issue.

I have aPlustek 7200 and am using XP Pro.
