Scanning to PDF

Postby artiface » Thu Mar 26, 2009 5:16 pm

I am running Silverfast Ai Studio 6.6.0r5 with a Linoscan 2650 scanner.

When scanning I don't get the option to save as PDF only the usual tif, eps etc.
Does my scanner support pdf format?

Hope someone can help.

Keith.

Dear Keith,

are you using SilverFast from within Photoshop ? Cause if you do so the Photoshop save as dialog is used rather than the SilverFast one so we can not control this.
However when using SilverFast as a standalone Application with the SilverFast launcher it should not be a problem to select pdf as fromat in the save as window.

I'm running the stand alone version of Silverfast, the only save options are - TIFF, DCS, JPEG and EPSF. No PDF option.

Dear Mr. Tomlinson,

is it possible that you do a 48Bit HDR Color scan, please note that we can not produce 48Bit pdfs as no pdf would be able to read them.
