We are waiting for information from the manufacturer of that scanner, so we can address the 3rd lens.

It's actually the mid lens the 1200 dpi lens that isn't yet supported. Other than that I've been getting very good scans , especially from negs with Silverfast. The only draw back is scanning prints with the 800 dpi lens as on the Circon it's not very sharp.
Hopefully this mid lens support will be made available soon. It's the only thing holding me boot in OS 9 and using Linocolor.
Also be aware that the Circon has only 2MB of buffer , so 16 bit scans require many stops while scanning. It's worth the extra bit information if you're not sure of future corrections and /or if you use the HDR options of raw scans.

The third lens in the Circon scanner is now supported. It enables to make scans with an intermediate optical resolution. The supported optical resolutions available now are: Standard-Res Mode: 800 x 2400 dpi; High-Res Mode: 1200 x 2400 dpi; Super High-Res Mode: 2400 x 2400 dpi.

Hi,
I download update and, install. But the middle and high resolution lens still untill not working. Starting the scan (1200 dpi centre the scanner plate), see on the scanner display "low resolution". When scanner power on, to write on the display "CIRCON V01.01". In the silverfast logfile "vendor : LinoHell
: product : ELS5000
: firmware: 0108". What is the problem? How update scanner firmware?
Thank you all response.
