Hello, i have the following problem. I bought the epson V800 with the Silverlight Software. Installed it, registered, confimed it and i was able to scan about 4 images and everything was ok. After that, i updated to the new version of the software. now, whenever i scan a negative and use the scratch and dust removal, the final scan looks like it hasnt been registered. it has the black and grey pattern on it.
i deleted the software completely and reinstalled it. registered again and updated it. still no change. does anybody have that problem. i am using a mac with Yosemite.
Thank you
Scan appears like not being registered.

Re: Scan appears like not being registered.
Dear customer,
what kind of film emulsion are you scanning?
It sounds like you are using a film type which unfortunately blocks the infrared channel which then can not be used for the correction.
This is almost always the case with B&W film, where the silver halide emulsion completely absorbs the infrared beam.
Certain Kodachrome variants are also effected by this issue.
But it can also occur with films that have not been processed correctly.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
