Photo Mechanic can add IPTC data in XMP format to my Silverfast 'raw' 64-bit HDRi files.
But when these files are processed by HDR, the IPTC information is lost. The processed files have empty IPTC fields.
Is there a way to preserve the IPTC information I embed in the raw scan files when they are processed by HDR?
IPTC data added to HDRi files is stripped on processing

Re: IPTC data added to HDRi files is stripped on processing
Dear michaelwe,
64 bit HDRi files can (and should) not be edited with other applications than SilverFast HDR, the consequence of using other applications is that the infrared channel gets lost or destroyed, there are even rare cases where the entire image gets lost.
The IPTC information can not be changed after the file has been created.
A posible solution might be to add IPTC information using SilverFast Ai Studio while scanning.
Cheers

I use Graphicconverter (for Mac: Mehrfachkonvertierung) to import itpc-Information from an existing textfile into my scanned images (100 at a time):
The infrared-channel is still there, and it's easy to find what I want
(The information is visible in Photoshop, Capture One, MediaPro...)
But in HDR-Studio is no itpc-Information visible!
When I put in the information manually while I scan with Silverfast Studio, they appear, but I don't want to do it manually!
In Capture one the informations look the same:
The scanned Images with infrared-channel are an Archive,
It would be great to preserve this informations and while the devellopment with HDR-Studio it should export all informations automaticly!
