If I open an 48 bit file with HDR Studio, process it, save it then as 48 bit HDR and open it again, it will be displayed much too bright in the preview window.
Displaying the same (final) file in PS, it looks fine.
Semms to be kind of double gamma in HDR Studio.

Re: 48 bit HDR much too bright
This is correct.
A normal 48bit file has a gamma of 2.2.
A 48bit HDR is expected to have a gamma of 1.0.
When you save a 2.2 image as a HDR file that file will also have values which corospond to a 2.2 gamma.
But SilverFast HDR expects the HDR file to have a gamma of 1.0.
In case you want to process such a file you will have to set the "expected gamma for HDR" in the SilverFast HDR Studio options' general tab to the value of the original value.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
