using copy paramaters in hdr job manager

Postby jvhays » Thu Jan 15, 2004 2:28 pm

when using job manager in hdr, if one copies the parameters from one job entry to another, does the auto adjust change to match the image, given that all the other parameters remain the same?

First of all:
When you add entries to the JobManager, you have the possibility to choose "Adjust images automatically" (in the dialog that pops up when adding the entries). That means, when executing the job, the image auto adjust will be performed individually for that image. It is signaled in each job entry with a small auto adjust icon.
In that way there should normally be no need to copy auto adjust.

When copying parameters from one entry to others you have to be in the edit mode for the job entry you want to copy parameters from. When entering edit mode, image auto adjust is performed for that edited image and that histogram/gradation settings will get saved, meaning that when executing the job the image auto adjust will not be performed for that image (as it was already done during editing). That's signaled in the job entry by now displaying a small gradation icon instead of an image auto adjust icon.
When you open the "Copy job parameters" dialog you have the option to select the individual parameters you want to copy. One entry is "Adjust image automatically". It will copy the setting of the "Adjust image automatically" setting in the "Auto" panel of the Options dialog. When editing a job entry, this option will get cleared (as image auto adjust was performed already). To copy an enabled "Adjust image automatically" flag you have to open the options dialog (while being in job edit mode) and reenable the "Adjust image automatically" setting. When you now open the "Copy job parameters" dialog and choose the entry "Adjust image automatically" every image you copy this parameters to will be adjusted automatically when the job is executed.

But remember what I said in the first section; this normally shouldn't be necessary as you can choose "Adjust images automatically" when ADDING the images to the JobManager.
