TIFF or PSD?

Postby David M » Wed Jan 22, 2003 9:57 am

I have been scaning raw high bit images using the software that came with my Minolta Dimage Scan Multi, without any color profile and then processing them with HDR.

The question I have is? should I save the raw images in TIFF or PSD format?

HDR supports PSD and I use Photoshop as my image editing software so for connivance I have been saving my raw images in PSD.

So, what file format is better? And why?

Thanks,

In your case the PDS format is better, because no transition takes place during the workflow (from scan to final 8bit image).

Thanks for the info... :D

It was just a little nagging question that was bugging me. I have been going through my stock files scanning lots of images and I just wanted to make sure before I scanned any more.

Aloha,
