Output format with HDR

Postby m8832669 » Sun Jun 21, 2015 9:15 am

Dear Sir:

I am quite interested with HDR cause it can accelerate my scanning speed withou pre-adjustment.
I am now using the Epson V800 photo with the bundled software "Silverfast SE".
I want to generate a 64bit HDRi files with Silverfast SE, then post process them in HDR.

1.But I am wondering if HDR can output 48bit tiff files or not.
2.Does HDR Studio comes with an IT8 target? If it does, can you deliver it abroad? Or did you have any dealer in Taiwan?
3.Can I have a discount for HDR if I already have licensed Silverfast SE?

Many thanks,
George

Dear George,

Yes SilverFast HDR can create 48 Bit files.
An IT8 target is not automatically included with our calibration capable software products.
But you can order it from our online shop.
Shipping to Taiwan should not be a problem.

A discount is available.
You can upgrade through our scanner-software shop.
Upgrading to the Archive Suite or Archive Suite SE would add the HDR Studio or HDR Software product.
Entering your existing serial will provide the upgrade discount.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Hi Arne,

I would like to know how you can output 48bit files in Silverfast HDR 8.8 after applying iSRD to a 64bit file. The application of iSRD is disabled when 48bit output is selected.

Dear customer,

You need to select the normal 48 Bit output if you wan to save changed images.
The 48 Bit HDR output does not allow any image alteration including iSRD.
The 48 Bit HDR output is only there to remove the infrared channel from HDR files. e.g. for B&W scans.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
