Where do I access SF SE once installed on Epson 2450?

Postby karenM » Sat Aug 31, 2002 5:15 pm

I just installed SF SE on new 2450 scanner, but can't locate where to open it from. I didn't put it in as a Photoshop Plugin, just regular installation.
It doesn't show up on the twain window.

Look for an application named (SF App) Should be located in a folder named Silverfast. It is a standalone program for the scanner.

Good luck.

Finding SilverFast plug-in

Do a Sherlock for Epson-SE. You'll find the Silverfast folder; move or copy that folder in to your Photoshop->Plugins->Import-Export folder. That worked for me in OS9.

If you want to use OS10.2, I think you are out of luck right now. But SilverFast is pretty quick about putting their front ends on new TWAIN releases -- Epson just released its latest for 10.2 last week.

Does this mean, then, that there is no way to use the SilverFast via the Epson SmartPanel? I like the Smart Panel so much because it automtically recognizes that it scanning slides and only scans the slide. Any way to do this in SilverFast?
