waiting for scanner monitor message.........

What is a scanner monitor and can I turn it off? I am using Version 6 on a MAC with OS 9.2. Version 6 seems alot slower overall than 5.

The Scan Monitor is a additional program in some Scanner Drivers.

How do I trun it off? Sometimes I get a message saying if I want to speed things up I should turn it off.

Please contact the scanner manufactor for that. I don't know, what scanner you use.

This is a message I just started to get after updating to Vr 6 from Vr 5 on a Epson 1640XL, MAC OS9.2. I never had this message before that. I thought it might be related to the update.
