V750 Pro and SilverFast Archive Suite SE

Hello:

I am interested in purchasing the SilverFast Archive Suite SE. I have an Epson V750 Pro scanner and I think that does not support or HDRI and iSRD.
My question is if an update will fix this? Or not because it depends solely on the model of the scanner, and if I get any compensation despite the purchase of SilverFast Archive Suite SE?.

Another question, I have the SilverFast Ai and photoshop CS4, how to change the film scanning process with software that I own now and comparing it SilverFast Archive Suite SE with what would win?

Dear Magaly,

You are right at this time the Archive Suite for Epson scanners does not support the HDRi nor iSRD modes. Even if you upgrade to Archive Suite the situation will not change. This is a patent limitation which does not depend exclusively on us but third party companies which own the patent for the infrared channel included in the Epson scanners.

If you already have SilverFast Ai it would not really make too much sense to downgrade to SE because you would be loosing some features and tools. In your case I would recommend to purchase SilverFast HDR or HDR Studio which are the second components of the Archive Suite Ai, Ai Studio.

I believe you can even check if you get a discount on our online store by using your actual SilverFast Ai serial number during your purchase (this is just speculation because I am not sure of the sales politic of the company very well).
