using Ai IT8 Studio with EPSON V750-M PRO fluid mount

Has anyone used the EPSON Perfection V750-M PRO fluid mount to scan in with Silverfast ai IT8 Studio, and if so, any comments on how it works or suggestions. I have some slides with scratches and want to see if I get better results if I use the oil to scan in before using the software. I'm particularly wondering if there are focusing issues, but any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thanks, in advance.
