The wrong software?

I have just brought the silverfast AI 6.0 software to my new Epson 3200 but the scannersofteware displays that as if my scanner is a GT-9800.

How do I change this?

Your scanner is a GT-9800. That is what it is called in Japan. Epson 3200 is what it is called outside Japan.

under win 2k pro it doesn't work and doesn't seem to take in charge the serial number
the descreening is a ********* and the scanning of negatives film appears as a blue photograph despite the fact to select the corright type of film
if you upgrade as twain or pkotoshop plugin it's worse and refuse to give you an image after scanning the image is totally black as if you were not registered and you can not change this !!! so good luck with SF AI for epson 3200 :x
