Support Epson Perfection 1670 photo

How about Epson Perfection 1670 support progress?
Will it be supported in AI mode?

Why not? And what about Epson 1670 PHOTO?

The 1670 is a very widespread scanner... I was very excited to find out about SilverFast a week ago, and was going to purchase it, since its so far the best scanning software I've found.. I really hope you guys will re-consider :(

Why indeed? I've 1670 Photo and use v**s**n, but SilverFast is much better. I'll be very glad to purchase it if my harware was supported.

Probably you'll include 1670 Photo in your supported list? Please.

We hope to be able to release a SilverFast version with support for the Epson Perfection 3170 and 1670 in 1-2 weeks. The Windows version is currently passing our inhouse testing, the Mac version will follow a bit later.

On this occasion I would like to give out a big "Thank You!" to all forum users for the active participation. It can be a big help for us in many aspects, i.e. prove demand for a certain scanner support from Silverfast.

Pardon me for the wrong info I posted in december but fortunatly things change.

Silverfast 6.2.0r3-Windows for Epson 1670 is now available!
As it is written, 'this version was tested under WinXP only'.

Unfortunately great problems arise under Win2000 (w2k Pro SP3): SilverFast Demo merely cannot find the scanner device and then crashes.
What to do?

A very interestin effect under w2k SP3: when I call SF standing alone or via PhotoShop 7, it cannot find my scanner and crashes.
But if I call it via Acrobat 5.0.5, SF works correctly :roll:

SilverFast Ai and SE have been released for Epson 1670 and 3170 :)
Windows and Macintosh versions are available now.
