strange effect with silverfast ai

hi,
im from germany and i bought silverfast-ai 2 weeks ago.
mostly i scan 4by5 inches slide-film.
now i have very strange effects after scanning a slide of a black artwork.
at some edges of this object, there are black spots or lines
which are not on the film.
if i do the same scan with my epson-software its not there.
if its helpful i could send some screenshots to describe it.
i cant sell this result to anybody.
i hope i did somethin wrong, but if not and
it will stay like this i have to complain this software.
i use silverfast 6.4.2r2a as a stand alone app.
with mac OS 10.4.2 on a dual 1,8 G5.

thanks for the info. Yes it would be best to supply sample images and the SF_logfile to http://www.silverfast.com/problemreport ... opic=Usage for further analysis.

im happy to say that didnt find but fixed my problem.
i trashed all lasersoft-files and installed the 6.4.2r2a-version again.
the only diffenrence in the prefs. is, that now gamma is at 2.00.
before i choosed 1,8. could that be the problem ?
anyway, if it works it works.
