Speed for 4x6 prints
I have about 15,000 4x6 prints to scans with no negatives going in to i photo. 300dpi seems plenty, but speed comparisons would be a big help as my wife gets to do it all. V750, 10000XL or epson was suggesting an autofeed GTS-80 that looked more like it was set-up for checks. How do I choose a fast photo only scanner? Price is not a huge issue if I want to avoid a divorce.

Re: Speed for 4x6 prints
Dear Papamike,
That is very relative question, it depends not only on the hardware you are using but also on the filters and corrections you apply to every picture.
I performed single scan with 300 dpi with the default settings in SilverFast and no extra corrections, the results are as follow:
Epson Perfection V750 Pro = 9 seconds scan time + time for the setting of the picture, prescan, file naming, etc.
Epson Expression 10000XL= 15 seconds scan time + time for the setting of the picture, prescan (bigger surface), file naming, etc.
I hope this comparison gives you an idea.
Cheers
