I just bought SilverFast Ai6 for my Epson Perfection 3200 scanner. I installed both the Twain and Photoshop plugin (at least I think I did but can't tell which is which).
My main problem is that everytime I go in PhotoShop CS and import SilverFast it takes over 1 minutes to search for devices, that is way too long. Everytime I need to scan I have to wait over a minutes that too is asking too much for an end user.
Does anyone know why it takes that long? is there anyway to speed this up?
The scanning part is ok just when Silverfast loads.
I have the following items
Pentinum 4 2.53GHz
1GB RAM
120GB HD
Epson Perfection 3200 connected via FireWire
Please I need help here anyone have an answer for this?
ALos, how do I know which one is the plugin and which one is the Twain they both look the same expect one is lable SilverFasat (32).

I do agree with you, the search for the scanner does take too long.
What can be the reason?
Perhaps you have other devices installed via firewire connection which confuse SilverFast till it finally addresses your scanner.
If you haven't done it yet, you want to download and install the latest update for your version of SilverFast from our website.
You might experience that this already does solve your problem.
