I have an Epson 1650 Photo.

When I click on the "Image Auto Adjust button" the shadow and highlight points are not being set according to what they should. For instance, I scanned in a picture and when I mannually set the shadow and highlight points using the show brightest and darkest points, I get a shadow of about 28 and a highlight of about 224. These are the SAME numbers I get when I autoadjust, using the EPSON driver. HOWEVER, when I click the "Image Auto Adjust" button within Silverfast, the shadow point doesn't move(it stays at 0) and the highlight point, only gets set to 244. This, in turn leaves me with a blah scan. This is just 1 example, but it happens this way on ALL scans. My gamma is set to 1.8 in BOTH Sivlerfast and the Epson driver.

Please look into this as this is preventing me from using Silverfast.

Please download our latest release version. It should eliminate this problem.

Unfortunately, I am using the most current release. I have tried SE(which I own) version 5.5.2r18 and the demo AI ver 5.5.2d02 and both give me the same problem. They don't seem to want to autoadjust correct.

I can send you 2 scans, one with Siverfast and one with Epsons, so you can see the difference, if you like.

New versions for Epson will be available within the next two days.

Eric.
