SilverFast iSRD support for Epson V500?

I see from your replies to similar questions that you are unable to support Digital ICE on the V500 because

However it appears you have a similar situation on the Canon 8800F where

FARE is not supported

but iSRD is available, which implies that silverfast must have access to the infrared channel.

My question then is will you be releasing a version which supports iSRD on the V500? If so, when? If not then could you please explain why not?

Dear Thekernel,

The access to the infrared channel is the key to be able to implement iSRD in a Scanner, as you correctly point out, we have access to the infrared channel with the Canon CanoScan 8800F.

For many reasons (which can not be explained here) we do not have access to the infrared channel in the case of the Epson Perfection V500, these scanners are very important to us and we are working to get access to the infrared channel.

I can not really give you any date or even tell you if this will or not be possible in the near future because that is something that does not deppend exclusively on SilverFast nor Epson but also third party companies involved.
