I have been given a dual pIII win 2000 machine, with 512mbram and an Epson 1640XL with Silverfast 5.5
I scan logos at 1200ppi that measure approx. 2.5"x2.5" I have to tell you this is an EXTREMELY slow process that even my perfection 1200 does it at a fraction of the time. it is taking over 3 or 4 minutes to do this, is there some setting that best suits Photoshop and windows 2000 and the whole set up I 've mentioned? I have 75% of the ram given to photoshop.

Dear SennaF1,
how bis is the output size (in Mbytes) of that logo?
Do you scan it as color logo, greyscale logo, or line art logo?
did you rotate the SilverFast preview?
Did you compare a scan process of that logo using Epson TWAIN software?
-- how long does Epson TWAIN need to digitalize that logo?
