Silverfast Ai and Photoshop Elements?

I use Photoshop but, hoping to simplify, bought Photoshop Elements. I have the Silverfast Photoshop Plugin installed. Is there a way to get Photoshop Elements to use it or do I need to also install the Twain version of Silverfast?

I found in the faqs that Silverfast should work with Photoshop Elements, tried adding it as a plugin under PSE preferences -- but it doesn't show up in "import."

If anyone can help me with this, I would really be thankful!
