Silverfast Ai 6.2.1r6 problem on Windows XP

Postby hruta » Fri Jul 30, 2004 11:59 am

After attempt to scan standard 35mm slide Silverfast 6i crashes at the moment when starts 'Scan to RGB file...'. It is independent on resolution or ICE. Unreadable jpg or tiff file is created.
I already tried reinstall Silverfast and Windows XP servicePack without result.
Silverfast SE does the same action correctly (without ICE, of course).

Do you have any idea how is possible to resolve this problem?
Thanks.

SF Version: Ai 6.2.1.r6(Epson)
resolution = 900, 1200, 3200;
ICE= ON or OFF
IT8 Calibration: OFF
Scan Type: 48->24 bit

All other settings: Factory default

OS: Windows XP prof, SP1
RAM Memory: 512MB
Processor: AMD Athlon 2000+ 1.67GHz

Dear hruta

please contact LaserSoft Imaging support staff: http://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would appreciate if you could paste a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile in the problem report.
Thanks in advance for your co-operation.

Thanks for your answer. During waiting for your answer I tried to delete system folder C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Applicationdata\Lasersoft Imaging\Silverfast. From this delete my software works properly.

Same problem here under Windows 2000. Sometimes deleting the Silverfast directory helps, sometimes it does not. Very annoying.

Does the AI version behave differently?
