Silver Fast Launcher Inop

Postby northlight » Tue Jan 27, 2004 6:39 am

:( I just downloaded the lastest update V6.2.0r2--the Launcher doesn't work. I need to be able to launch the standalone SilverFast for paper/printer calibrations. This problem was fixed 2 updates back but reappeared after the update just previous to this last one. I was hoping this update would have taken care of the problem--no luck! :(

Dear northlight

please note that you can download the SF_Launcher separatly under [Download] => [SilverFast Launcher] from our website.
You might give it a try and find out if it works better than the one included in your Ai install package.

:D Thanks. After downloading the the last update(.0r3) lastnight the stand alone launcher works fine with no problems with the setting reverting back after each scan.

Dear northlight

contrary to former my postings the "settings can't be saved"-problem are not in the 6.2.0r3 version.
I had been misinformed on this topic. However, I contacted all relevant persons involved in this matter and - taadaa - it now shall *really* be fixed in the r4 release.

I truly do hope you and other users will share this opinion - please keep my posted.
TIA, Sonny

Well...the StandAlone Launcher is working just fine since I downloaded the last update. I hope 0r4 doesn't mess something else up!!!!!!! Thanks.

Dear northlight

not all scanners which use the Epson Plugin are afflicted by the problem described above. However, 6.2.0r4 shall be a remedy for their users, too.

When will 6.2.0r4 be released? This past week-end my SilverFast stopped working--both pluggin and standalone. It locked up just after scan, during dust and scratch removal.
