SDR and Epson 2450 is really bad

Postby Georg55 » Sat Sep 27, 2003 7:41 pm

Hi,
I just started with the new Silverfast 6,01
and try to find out the best settings for SDR.
The problem is ,when I use the Auto function
there is still al lot of dust in the scan, but when I
push up the detection over 40 already details are gone,
while the dust is still there. When the AUTO funcition does not work
I have to take the lasso for any *********** single spot and this is more
exiting than to use the Photoshop tools like the stamp.
Is there a solution ? I use ICE with my Minolta 5400 and this is realy
great compared to SDR.
Is there anybody with a professionell workflow for the Epson 2450
with color management and the option to lose as less as possible within the scanning process (48 bit)

Thank you in advance for your help.

you should use the intensity slider to preserve the details in the image. The uncorrected pixel will get green marked and preserved. There is also a downloadable QuickTime movie about SRD on our website.
